Life After Birth
February 28th, 2010
Eric Landry
Part of the The Gospel of John series.
Sadly, “born again” has become a demographic marker more than a description of true Christian life. We read that “born again Christians” vote a certain way, purchase certain goods, and only take certain kinds of vacations. We’re a long way from the incredulity of Nicodemus. Why is Nicodemus so confused? Because he is trying—as a walking dead man—to evaluate Jesus. What he needs (what we all need) is new life before we can really see Jesus and participate in his kingdom.
